"I have had the honor and privilege of working with Green Valley for several years. As a wedding planner in the valley, it is one of my favorite places to be! But it has never quite been as amazing as it was this past summer! The new caretakers have taken it to the next level and created such a unique experience for their guests and the vendors!
The amount of care, detail, and love that they put into each, and every wedding is astounding to me. They are always willing to lend a hand, happy to help in anyway, and there to make things easier for everybody!

Traveling to Green Valley Ranch in West Glacier, Montana has never been easier. We are located less than a 30 minute drive from
Glacier Park International Airport where several flights arrive daily.
Amtrak's Empire Builder can drop you in West Glacier just outside Glacier National Park's west entrance and less than 5 miles from Green Valley Ranch.
Soon......the big tents will go up, the photographers will capture every unforgettable moment, the DJs will fill the meadow with music, and the chairs will be set for another incredible wedding at Green Valley Ranch.

Last year, Crystal and I experienced it a different way and hopped on one of the historic Red Bus Tours—and we highly recommend it! It was such a fun way to take in the scenery, relax, and hear the stories and history of @glaciernps from the guides.
And the best part—Green Valley Ranch is the perfect basecamp for Glacier National Park, located just 5 miles from the West Entrance. WOW. It doesn’t get much better than that for easy access to one of the most iconic parks in the country.

A Barn With Over 100 Years of Stories
The historic log barn is an icon of Green Valley Ranch. Nearly every couple and guest who visit falls in love with its character, charm, and incredible setting beneath the Montana mountains.
Originally homesteaded by the Green family in the early 1900s, this land supported a family of ten children, a sawmill operation, and generations of hardworking pioneers. It's easy to imagine draft horses hauling logs, children playing in the fields, and a family building a future in the wilderness.
Today, the barn stands as a reminder of that rich Montana history and the legacy that continues through the descendants of the original homesteading family. More than a century later, it's still helping create unforgettable memories for every event hosted here.

Then the rain, wind, and hail showed up. 😅
As the storm rolled in, everyone jumped into action—packing up décor, securing rentals, and helping wherever needed. It was a perfect reminder of how lucky we are to be part of such an incredible wedding community.

Looking back at this snowy October Montana Bride shoot, it’s one of those projects that really stays with you.
What you see in the final magazine feature is just a small piece of the story — the real memory is everything that happened behind the scenes. The early snowfall, the cold setting in fast, and a team that kept adapting, problem-solving, and showing up for each other no matter what. Montana weather has a way of either stopping a shoot or bringing everyone closer together — this one did the second.
We’re so grateful for every vendor who leaned in, stayed flexible, and helped turn a challenging day into something genuinely beautiful. That kind of collaboration is what makes these shoots so meaningful.
We also wanted to share a note from photographer Presley Gray, who was part of this shoot and captured it so beautifully:

But it has never quite been as amazing as it was this past summer! The new caretakers have taken it to the next level and created such a unique experience for their guests and the vendors!

Last night the northern lights danced over the meadow — soft greens and purples flickering across the sky. It was one of those rare, quiet moments where everything just stops… pure magic.
Montana never ceases to amaze us. 🌌
"We’ve had the pleasure of working with Green Valley Ranch a couple times now over the 2025 wedding season and to say it’s one of our favorite venues is an understatement! Mike and Crystal (the groundskeepers) are two of the most genuine, humble, and incredible people to work with. They consistently go above and beyond for their weddings and are always on call at the exact moment we need them. At one wedding it rained and they came down to help wipe the ceremony chairs without anyone asking them, which is something we rarely see at other venues! Let’s not forget their golf carts which are a game changer to move around the property! The views are incredible at the venue as is the sleeping quarters. Highly, Highly recommend GVR for all couples looking to get married in our beautiful state of Montana!"
