Head to Glacier National Park for majestic panoramas of pristine wilderness which you can explore on foot, by car or boat. Glacier is known for its accessible trails and interpretive tours offered on historic red “Jammer” busses and the iconic wooden boats that cruise Glacier’s five large lakes: Lake McDonald, St. Mary Lake, Swift Current Lake, Lake Josephine and Two Medicine Lake. For backcountry lovers, over 700 miles of hiking trails promise a lifetime of exploration.
The Flathead Valley is a short drive and provides an experience in Montana culture. Whitefish, Bigfork, and Kalispell are charming mountain towns full of art galleries, theaters, boutiques and restaurants, and nine championship golf courses. In July, Kalispell is the host of The Event at Rebecca Farm, an Olympic-level equestrian Eventing competition. It is the largest event of its kind in the United States, drawing over 450 competitors from around the world and 20,000 spectators.
Flathead Lake is the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi river, offering chartered sailing against a breathtaking backdrop of the Mission Mountains. And the Hungry Horse Reservoir, just 15 minutes from the ranch and with several boat ramps, is another beautiful recreation destination offering miles of scenic boating.
